Great food and great service. Assistant Manager was very kind and helpful.
Best ramen I’ve ever had! Come here at least once a week to get the tonkotsu ramen.
I'm a Los Angeles transplant here in Chattanooga and was craving one of my favorite lunches, a poke bowl and bubble tea. I googled with low expectations, but found exactly what I wanted. They mixed up one of the toppings I asked for, and I didn't get my crunchy topping, but what I got tasted great, and now with one walking distance from my downtown apt, I will be a frequent visitor. Now I just have to find some good downtown BBQ, I've been disappointed with my first two ventures.
Finally. A place in Chattanooga to get great milk teas and ramen without having to splurge at two ten jack. There sushi and poke bowls looked great too!
This place is what I'm looking for after being away from California for a while! The food here taste like home! The boba here taste so good, brings back memories of my college years in California. After school I always get boba and Taichi makes it nostalgic. The ambience of this place is nice! Very clean!!! REMEMBER THEY ONLY SERVE RAMEN AFTER 5 on Weekdays, all day on weekends. So if you want ramen, that's the only hours you can get. TaiChi! I love you! Now I don't feel homesick anymore hh
This place had exactly what I was looking for, hot shoyu ramen on a rainy day. The menu is very straight forward and easy to order. They give you a buzzer and then you pick your food up at the back once it's ready. The food was delicious and my Milk tea was fresh.
Stopped over here for lunch on the way from Atlanta to Nashville. Impressed with the tonkotsu noodle and lycee tea. Will be perfect if the portion is larger.
Loved everything we tried! It was good flavors and did not disappoint. Very authentic and good service. Will definitely come again! The honeydew smoothie and Passionfruit tea were flavorful and loved the honeydew flavor. The ramen bowls are so good and fresh!! Worth coming!
Finally, a decent ramen shop at reasonable prices. Bubble tea is also excellent. As good as the best I had in places like Houston, NYC, LA, Shanghai
this place was soooo good! I had a sushi burrito and it was all I could hope for. the other 3 people I went with had ramen and absolutely loved it. We've been to two ten jacks and yeah their ramen is good, but this place is even better!! give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
This is a great place to hang out with friends or just stop by for a drink! The employees are friendly and they keep the place pretty clean!
One word: YUM!!!! Got the rice poke bowl with spicy tuna, spicy salmon, edamame, pickled radish, cucumber, spicy mayo, red cabbage, kale, seaweed salad and a various assortment of other delicious things. And a green tea lychee boba tea! Seriously wishing I lived in Chattanooga, I would probably be here once a week. Oh, and we ordered our food 10 minutes before they were closing for the day, and the food was still amazing despite that. Food quality did not seem to suffer at all even though it was literally the end of the business day.
Recommended by a coworker. Was even better than we expected. I had the poke bowl with brown rice and spicy tuna. In addition, they offered a wealth of add-ins like seaweed salad, pickled radish, kale, spicy mayo, ginger, and so on. My wife had the salad, tofu, black beans, pickled ginger, corn, sweet thai chili sauce, and other delicious toppings. Has made the list of go-to places. Will get some boba tea next time!
I love this place and they are super nice! I plan on coming a lot for a sushi burrito. The End.
Amazing addition to this side of town!!! They have tons of options that include sushi burrito, poke bowl, and ramen bowls. I had the spicy miso ramen bowl with pork and someone with me had beef - both were delicious! everyone was very helpful when ordering and helped us choose what would be best. Definitely will be back and cannot wait to try something new when I come back!
Finally a boba place here in Hamilton place as well a new ramen place! Love it! I'm so excited to explore new flavored bobas!
Stopped here on a road trip. Got a very tasty sushi burrito and a Thai bubble tea. Loved it! Very friendly staff too.
Super yummy bubble tea (I got strawberry green tea with passion fruit boba) and absolutely stellar poke bowls. You get to choose what you put on it, so that was a huge plus! There are outlets to charge your devices in each booth and also sketch pads if you've got kiddos with you! I'll definitely go back!
Well we have been waiting for this place to open for awhile now, so my husband and I were thrilled to try it after stopping by Target.. We've been there twice in two days. I ordered the Thai Tea with boba and my husband ordered a fruit smoothie. We've been to Thailand with the tea and fresh fruit smoothies, TC is killing it. Looking forward to trying the food, but so far service, cleanliness, and taste has exceeded expectations.
Absolutely delicious! Love the creative ways of ordering and all of the options. Definitely will come back!!
We came for bubble tea and the ramen, but hope to try the bowls and burritos next time. I thought the ramen was pretty good! I got myself the tonkotsu. The broth was really rich without being too salty, but I did feel like it could use more dimension. The ramen egg included in it was delicious with a custardy yoke-- I could eat a zillion of those alone.
Full disclosure, however- my sister had the tomato based vegetarian ramen and said she found it bland. I didn't try hers, so I couldn't say myself. Some may be better than others.
I did notice that "smoky" flavor to the thai tea one reviewer mentioned, but to me it was more faintly minty than smoky and wasn't unpleasant. The boba in the tea was slightly sweetened and cooked just right. Nothing worse than over or undercooked boba.
Over all the food was good, the staff was pleasant, and it was a clean, cute restaurant. I certainly plan on visiting again next time I get a bubble tea craving!
Really like this place! Build-your-own-bowl style with lots of fresh ingredients to choose from. Definitely will be going back!!!
This is a great bubble and ramen experience, feels very modern but almost like a fast food place... ordered and food came out very hot and quick. They give you a buzzer so you know when it's ready. There is pretty limited seating, but people are in and out very fast so there usually isn't a wait. WiFi is on display in each booth. Overall a great experience.
Love this place!! The staff is super helpful and always make suggestions!! So glad we have a good boba place in Chattanooga now!
My fav is the honey oolong. You can choose how much ice and sweetness according to your preference. You can also call your order in ahead of time.
My wife says that this is some of the best ramen since coming from japan were she lived for 8 years. The drinks were fresh and amazing.
The boba tea is 10/10. Ramen could have been better. Not worth the kinda ridiculous price. Only come for boba. 4 stars for the tea
My friend and her daughters ate here this past weekend. The food and service was great. We even found a bubble tea the youngest girl liked. I definitely recommend them if you're ever in Cahttanooga.
The sushi burritos are a favorite! Hard to find fresh sushi in chatt. Wish I had discovered this place sooner to bring visitors too.
We stumbled across this place by accident. All the food is delicious but it was difficult to figure out how to order. Check it all out before placing your order
Authentic Asian food here
I can't believe I found Zangzang Cha, which is so popular in China.
I tried this place for the first time recently and really was impressed! The atmosphere is amazing and the food is really good! I recommend the taro milk tea for sure!
Can't wait to go back. I've been waiting for a poke place to open in Chattanooga and I was not disappointed. Not only did we enjoy the food but really like the private booths.
Very good Ramen. Can't wait to try the Sushi Burrito next time. Great atmosphere and service was good also.
This has become one of our regular places to eat. Love the food for both the rice and noodle bowls. Would prefer more drink choices.
I love this place so much. I've had the bubble tea, the ramen, and the poke bowl so far, and it's all been excellent. The food is incredible, the drinks are incredible, and the atmosphere is incredible. One of my favorite places in Chattanooga.
Vistlited this new place for the 1st time today. Really enjoyed my lunch. I got Spicy Miso Ramen with Beef. It was amazing. I also got the TaiChi Milk Tea with Boba. It was ok. I will try a different flavor next time. The atmosphere was nice and the employees were helpful. I gave it 4 stars due to the price. The $11.99 price is a bit steep. Other than it was perfect
Best poke bowl place in Chattanooga. The ingredients are fresh and the teas are super refreshing!
Absolutely love this place! The poke bowls are my favorite. I like the salmon and tuna that is spicy, if you are taking for Togo make sure you get sauces on the side. Huge portions are great as well!
TaiChi Bubble Tea is a delicious new restaurant that I definitely recommend. I got the sushi burrito stuffed with: white rice, spicy ahi, imitation crab, avocado, cucumber, Japanese pickled radish, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. It was SO GOOD. The portion was extremely generous and filling. All the ingredients tasted super fresh and didn't taste like it had been sitting there for days. I also got the coconut smoothie with boba to drink and it was delicious as well.
I thought the environment was adorable and unique. The booth seating kind of reminded me of a traditional tatami room since it was so private. The menu is easy to read and order from and it's also convenient because you can just check the boxes to easily let them know what you want.
If you're looking for quality food that is super quick, I highly suggest eating here. It took me about 10 minutes to order and receive my food. All in all, it was a great experience from the service, to the environment, and of course, the food! I'm definitely going to be going back to try other items on their menu.
We stopped in for a late lunch and it was packed. Always a good sign. I'd read some reviews so I knew how to order. You take a sheet and mark the ingredients you want. Your food is prepared in a to go box which I think is brilliant. It's a ton of food and if you can't finish you close the box and go. I had a poke bowl. But they have burritos and ramen. Definitely will be back and often!!!
Absolutely delicious food. Super vegetarian friendly. Qualitea bubble tea! Love the Lemon Mango black tea. The service is fast and there is free WiFi.
my fiance and i are huge fans of ramen, and i am quite fond of bubble tea. so when we heard about this place, we had to check it out. and it very quickly became our favorite ramen place in chatt, and definitely my favorite bubble tea as well! the environment is very pleasant, as were the employees, they had lots of options for protein in their ramen for the veggie people out there, and their tea was very customizable. i'm wondering if this place was inspired by the ramen shops in japan!! will definitely be going back as soon as possible!!
This place is awesome!! Ever since my first visit here, this is all I crave (it's been so bad of a craving I even attempted to make my own ramen at home, didn't even come close.) The establishment is gorgeous and I love the layout and atmosphere. The service is speedy and simple, the employees are very friendly and courteous. And the food is absolutely delicious! I recommend the spicy miso ramen with an extra egg and definitely suggest trying the passion fruit green tea. This place is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in the Chattanooga area. I'm a lifelong customer.
This place has a variety of bubble teas both milk and fruit teas. All of their broths are pork based and we chose the Tonkotsu which was good in taste , it came with an egg although we didn't ask for one which was nice . Overall a cute place for a quick lunch. Clean and private booths too!
Really good ramen, but I wasn't super impressed. I enjoy a lot of Korean, Japanese, & Asian dishes but these ramen bowls were good not great. It would be really nice if we had the option to customize our ramen like they do the sushi burritos or the poke bowls. Like how cooked do you want your noodles? Any add ins like corn, cheese, fish cakes, rice cakes things in those add on categories. Was a bit disappointed in the tofu added to the ramen could have been friend or seasoned but it was just crumbled up tofu.
It's safe to say I'm obsessed with this place! Finally poke and ramen in Chattanooga. Everything is always super fresh, service is speedy, and the poke bowls are delicious.
I loved it! I got a Mango/Black Tea Fruit Bubble Tea and Ramen with a miso bass and a shrimp protein. The place executed the ramen almost perfectly! The only thing I disliked was the corn in the ramen, because i'm not a fan of corn! However, I don't know if you can order without it. Tea was amazing! Ramen was great! I recommend!
Everything is so delicious. Made to order and so fresh! The inside is so beautiful also. They really took their time on this place. My family and I love coming here.
This place has great bubble tea and the ramen is pretty good as well as the portion size you get a great deal for what you pay :)
My wife and I tried this place today and it's amazing. I had the Chicken Poke bowl (left out the cilantro), and my wife had the Poke Mazing bowl (the one with raw tuna and salmon). The food was excellent, and the bubble tea is *perfect*. So glad we have a place like this in Chattanooga now. We'll definitely be back.
Love this place, walk in - straight forward black board menu, little menu sheets to fill out for your burrito, rice, salad bowl & drinks (wish they'd incorporate that for the ramen) but girl upfront super knowledgeable and brings you up to speed quick. They have a ton of toppings and selection of drinks. Got 1 miso ramen veggie style and 1 shoyu ramen veggie spicy + Thai coffee milk tea - Bomb Definitleh check it out, for chatt it's a great score!!!! Comfy cute atmosphere and booths to sit in. Clean (including bathrooms)...we'll definitely be back with the whole fam - my kids love this stuff!!!!
Oh my goodness. I finally found poke bowls in Chattanooga! Typically the first food type in a certain area is a little bit dodgy. Then the second iteration of that item comes and it gets better. Luckily for us, the first poke bowl place in Chattanooga was a smashing success! So many options and toppings to choose from. I got the perfect protein-packed salad bowl that was juicy and spicy and tasty! So personalized. So flavorful. So fast! The decor is so welcoming and soothing. A+ for TaiChi. Home run with this one.
I was really excited to try this place. I love ramen and was so happy to finally get a place on this side of town. The menu had a lot of unique options but we stuck with the spicy tonkatsu with pork and an extra egg. We also ordered strawberry bubble teas. I love the little booths, they make you feel like you're in a private little bubble. They advertise games as well, although I never saw any, just a sketch book on the tables. You can also see a lot of your food and drinks being made, which is always nice. Our food came out pretty quickly and it had a great presentation to it. It was so good, spicy and creamy. I would have liked a little more meat but you can always pay for that. Overall, a great meal and can't wait to go back.
We decided to go here while in Chattanooga, and we were not disappointed. We tried the Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen with Pork and the Spicy Tuna Salad. First of all, I really liked that you were able to choose any vegetables and garnishes that you wanted for your salad, and all for $8.99, which was a very fair price. The ramen was extremely flavorful and the noodles had a good bite to them. The bubble tea was good, but I wasn't to crazy about the tapioca balls, but that's my own weirdness.
One of my favorite things, was that each table had a sketch pad and pencils for you to draw pictures to keep at the restaurant while waiting for your food. My son enjoyed drawing his masterpiece.
Overall, I would recommend this place, and would return.
Visit Taichi for the first time today...and was pleasantly surprised. Order the tonkotsu ramen and taichi original bobba tea. Delicious!!
I usually venture to Atlanta to get ramen or bobba since nothing in town even comes close, so when the wife asked me if I wanted to try taichi I wasn't expecting much (more like not thrilled at all.. Lol). But I was shock from the quality, taste and value. The bobba is equally as good as places I visit before (Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York) and the ramen is par from big cities... That is saying a lot for Chattanooga.
So, if u are hankering from some tasty ramen or delicious drinks give this guys a try....cause there is no other place in town... Lol
Really good ramen. Glad to gave something like this in Chattanooga. I'm from Chicago and miss little spots like this.
Everything was fresh and delicious
The only real option for Ramen in Chattanooga. I like the spicy tonkotsu.
Milk tea is good as well. Try the jasmine milk tea with herb jelly.
We chose to eat here ,the booths are adorable. It's a small place but you can't see anyone else in the other booths.
We all got Poke bowls (3 of us)
Waited about 10 minutes
The bowls are so cute you can take it to go if you don't finish it.
Delicious I didn't have the pleasure of being here during ramen hours but I'll be back to try it!
I also ordered a strawberry fruit tea(greenTea) it's good. It may be because I'm used to tiny bubbles tea that I'm finding the taste with this particular flavor odd like something meant to be smelled instead of drunk. But don't let that stop you from forming your own opinion from tasting it.
Overall a good meal I would recommend
So happy this place is here.
The Poke Bowl is actually a great deal. I got two proteins (spicy tuna and salmon) and a load of vegetables. Add brown rice and a couple amazing sauces and you have a super healthy meal.
Boba was delicious as well.
Will definitely return.
We have eaten here a couple of times. The cashier was the same both times and he is always so nice and friendly. Their poke bowls and ramen are very good, as well as their bubble tea. I've tried their coconut bubble tea and the TaiChi bubble tea. Both were delicious. It's a little on the expensive side, but if you're in the mood for something different and unique, give this place a try!
Just wonderful. I was so excited, my first time, Crystal was just great. She helped me decide what to order. I got a salad bowl with chicken, seaweed, wontons, red cabbage, cilantro.. I got Dennie and I both a strawberry mango bubble tea. What an experience.
I'm so super excited to leave this review. It's about time Chattanooga has this. Ok, so.... it's right next to David's bridal. Parking is super easy. When you walk in it could be a little confusing like do we sit? Thanks to fellow yelpers I knew you figured out your meal before going to pay. This is still very new and everybody kinda did the weird hover wtf dance. I think they could use a sign like hey genius put your order on paper, come pay, sit, eat, clean up, repeat....
We ordered 2 sushi burritos and a ramen bowl. They do not have"regular" drink choices. Mango smoothie and bottled water it is. Not gonna lie - I would love a diet coke with dinner. The lady running the show was extremely friendly. She let Erin sample pearls. She also was very familiar and descriptive with menu for other customers. This place is spotless including bathrooms. Let's talk ramen - not the best... probably just ok... the egg was cold and broth not that flavorful. Noodles were ok. Price $11.99 - not horrible. Sushi burrito - holy crap - heaven!!!! Seriously it was so freaking delish. I got spicy tuna with all sorts of mix ins... it was so good. Erin had salmon and tuna- she loved hers too. I can already tell this will be a regular spot for us. $9.99 so affordable. So worth it! Oh, there is a cute notebook where you can doodle while you wait. I wish they would open one in fort Oglethorpe. Make sure to ask for mango sauce on the side.... It's so good. Yum!!!!
Finally, some great boba in Chattanooga! The easy to use menu, helpful service, casual yet authentic ambiance, great drinks really make this, in my opinion, the best boba in the Chattanooga area.
So far I have ordered the strawberry lemon tea with boba and strawberry jelly and the mango tea with mixed fruit jelly and boba. Both were refreshing, perfectly sugared, and the boba tasted great. Although I have not tried the food (the sushi burrito looks incredible) if it's half as good as the boba tea, all Chattanooga locals need to check this place out!
I love this place! The sushi burritos are amazing! I love being able to customize the perfect sushi roll! And the Boba Tea is also just as good. I wish there was a rewards points system since we eat here a lot now!
First time trying bubble tea, was pleasantly surprised. Cute atmosphere, had the ramen and it was delicious. Perfect lunch spot!
Great location, super convenient for the Gunbarrel crowd.
Milk tea wasnt too sweet, and the boba were plump and mild. Could have used a little more ice.
Spicy tonkotsu was so mild that I have to assume they accidentally served me regular tonkotsu broth. That said it was rich and flavorful! The pork was sliced thick which wasnt my preference, but it was tender. Eggs were perfect, glad I ordered an extra. Could have used more vegetables. Noodles are thin, not thick like soba.
Service was charming but some staff still seemed confused by the registers.
I was ecstatic when i saw some yelpers review of this new ramen and poke bar in CHATTANOOGA. Can i say FINALLY?! I couldn't be more ecstatic. As soon as i saw a review that day, my significant other and i headed there for dinner that same night. I believe we went on a Friday night around 630pm and it was steady traffic inside. As soon as we ordered it got crazy busy so yay for us lol.
Decor: I love the name and logo for tai chi. A blend of the milk tea and boba is great. I enjoy that it's an open concept and that you can see them doing everything. Additionally, i love the individual booths. They are wooden and rather spacious. The only thing is that there only a handful of them and then a couple open tables in the back. This place is slightly on the smaller side and quite narrow so i would recommend coming during off hours.
Ordering: You order upfront when you come in. They have their menu written out to the right of the counter. They have options of ramen during certain hours, so call ahead like we did to make sure, poke in styles of salad, burrito or a bowl. They also have milk teas, slushes, and smoothies.
To order the poke, they have a different method then all the rest. You are given a form and you check what you want in it. Example but i will also attach the ordering form is, rice, protein, mix ins, and toppings. You just check what you want and they make it for ya. It's similar to chipotle or subway but instead of going down the line, you write down your order. The rest of the foods you order like ramen or milk tea, you just tell them.
Food:
Poke burrito $9.99: We ordered a shrimp and crab burrito to share with a lot of fixings and it was phenomenal. This was my favorite menu item and we've been raving about it since we've had it. We highly recommend you get the fried onion and garlic for toppings bc that added crunch is everything. Their eel and spicy mayo sauce are also on point. 5/5
Tonkotsu ramen $11.99: the Noodles were perfectly cooked and so was the pork, but the broth just wasn't rich enough for me. You also get half of a poached egg on it. I was happy bc my fianc gave me his. I loved the egg. Overall It was good but wasn't my favorite. 3/5
Tomato ramen $11.99: my fianc had this and ummm I've never had a ramen like this before. It was a little too sweet for my liking. It's tomato based and had corn in it as well. He chose shrimp for his protein and they were tiny little shrimps but there was an abundance of it. We wouldn't get this again. 2/5
Small Green milk tea $3.50: i was expecting it to be matcha like milk tea but it wasn't. It was tan in color and tasted just like a milk tea with no green tea in it at all. Idk that threw me off but it wasn't bad. I ordered it less sweet and it was just right. The bobas were also perfectly cooked. 3/5
Strawberry mango smoothie $4.75: This was our least favorite item. It tasted very artificial and unfortunately we ordered a large and only took two sips of it. Oh well, we learned. 1/5
Experience: Our overall experience was good. I'm so glad to have a poke ramen bar in CHATTANOOGA. The food was good but not the best I've had but it satisfies my cravings. Pricing is also good so we will most definitely be back to try more items. For everything we ordered we paid $50 with tip.
This may be a 5 star place, but I am not judging their pork broth ramen, their egg, or anything with animal products in it. Being plant based, I went to Taichi to check out the vegetarian ramen and the sushi burrito. So, my point is, the pork broth based ramen may be the best Ramen ever, but I have no opinion. I do normally have ramen opinions (I am from Japan and lived around some of the best noodle houses in SoCal).
So first... the place is confusing if this is your first time. Here are some protips.
You order at the bar. There may be a line. After your order you get a receipt and a small pager device with a number.
If you want to order the sushi bowl, or the sushi burrito, there is a paper menu by the cashier where you check off what you want in your dinner. I think this is a good idea, but if you do not know this, and you get to the cashier, now you are doing this with people in line behind you. :)
They have signs asking you to bus your own trays and bowls... but if you have a tray of stuff... I am not sure what I was supposed to do with it.
There is a counter with sriracha, soy sauce, chopsticks.
There are vegan options. They offered the ramen with a tomato based vegetarian broth, that I was told did not have any animal products in it. It normally comes with an egg, but I asked to not have any egg. My wife ordered the sushi burrito with tofu. cilantro, spinach, white rice, and more.
There was some confusion about our order, the order slip did not have the sushi burrito so we had to ask for it to be made.
I was not sure what to think about a tomato based ramen. It is odd. But it was tasty. I sort of think it would still work better if made with some blended creaminess (I have seen vegan ramen places using blended sunflower seeds) and perhaps some miso paste. But again, it was pretty good. Noodles were on point.
The sushi burrito had great flavor, but it was a little hard to eat, falling apart. Nori does not work as good for a burrito as a flour tortilla. My wife mentioned next time she would order the bowl instead.
Place was clean, service was good, and quick (other than the little mix up).
Chattanooga, YOU HAVE ARRIVED. Get out with your bad self, you got a poke/ramen/bubble tea place! Ever since we moved from Nashville in August, we've been missing our local Asian food haunts - lo and behold, TaiChi Bubble Tea opened recently and it's literally 8 minutes from our house. We checked it out tonight for date night and it will definitely be our new go-to place, hands down.
Pro tip: they have ordering menus that you fill out for your sushi burrito or poke bowl by the front door, and also next to the cash register. Snag one of those and customize to your hearts content! Our burritos were ridiculously good - great portion size, really fresh ingredients.
TONS of options for the bubble tea, both in flavors of teas (milk, fruit, or otherwise) and flavors of boba. Love, love, love that they have size options & also options to make each flavor less sweet and with less ice. We shared a less sweet strawberry milk tea with passion fruit boba - so GOOD. Do it.
They also offer ramen during certain hours - Monday-Thursday it's 11:30-2 pm and 5 pm to close, so we just missed it today. We'll return to try ramen, though, because ramen is my jam, folks.
Get thee to TaiChi Bubble Tea, Chattanoogans. Go forth and veg out on delicious Asian food!
I was so excited to find this gem!!!! And now I'm gonna be broke all the time when I come here!!!
I ordered the miso bowl with pork and fish cakes! I also got a bubble tea of matcha and read bean.
We sat in our booth and waited for food to be ready. It was pretty quick.
The food was amazing and delicious!!!
It was the closest to real Japanese ramen!!! And they have poke bowls and sushi burritos!!!????!!!! Yes!
This is my new spot!!!
Me and 2 coworkers stopped by here for lunch and we were all "newbies" to this. 2 of us ordered a poke bowl and the third got a burrito. I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I will say that I was impressed with the concept.
We got back to the office and the first thing all of us commented on was how fresh the ingredients were! The lettuce was romaine and not iceberg. The spinach was crisp and not wilted! The fish did not smell "fishy".
The burrito looked like a huge sushi roll. It was so cool! All in all, we were all raving about the great taste and how we can't wait to go back again!
Just FYI, they do have chicken and tofu options for those that don't want fish.
I love TaiChi! The Boba tea is to die for. I love the many different options of green teas. The staff is always friendly and also very quick with orders. They have a very good selection and variety of choices for their ramen bowls and salads.
Very happy to have found this place. Ramen is served during set hours and I had spicy miso with tofu and it was very tasty. Everything tasted pretty fresh and the spicy level was just right.
Service was pleasant and efficient. Everyone took care of business, it wasn't rushed, or impersonal. The cashier was knowledgeable about the products.
I would certainly come back again!
I have one HUGE problem with this place: why isn't there one in Nashville?! We arrived around noon, so the lunch hour was on. They have a pretty expansive menu, as there are so many possible combinations between their teas (fruit, milk, and hot varieties) and their ramen. They also offer sushi, salad bowls, poke bowls, and sushi burritos (which we will be trying on our next visit).
The atmosphere is very nice. They offer very private booths with high wall between the others.
There is also a bar with stools that looks out into the plaza. It is self-seating, sort of fast-food style but upscale.
The cashier was friendly and took our order, and to our surprise, we did not have to wait long at all for our food.
We chose to try the Tonkotsu and Spicy Tonkotsu ramen (both pork), and their Mango Milk Crush Bubble Tea.
We were instantly floored with our first slurp of the noodles (yes, we slurp our noodles - that's how it's SUPPOSED to be done!). The broth was delicious and so flavor. Other toppings included scallions, bamboo shoots, a poached egg half (so gooey, but in a good way. The pork belly was definitely the right choice. The savory aspect of it really complimented the ramen so perfectly.
We definitely can't wait to come back! This place is quite possibly our favorite restaurant in Chattanooga, and it will be on our "must do" list every time we find ourselves in town.
Three words...YUM YUM YUM!! This is just the right place for a good ramen and poke bowl spot. One of my best friends invited me to try this place out with him and we loved it! It's super cool because they give you a menu/order sheet and you get to personally customize how you'd like your poke bowl or ramen bowl to be. This is ideal for the picky eater haha! Thaichi's food items looked and tasted very fresh and flavorful. I went back the next day to grab a to go order for dinner because I loved it so much.
It is a smaller facility that holds about 6 booths, but they are the perfect little cubby spots to do some work in. There are outlets along the wall, along with the WiFi information.
Over all this is a great place with great food! I will continue to go here for some delicious food and fresh bobba tea!
Got to go back to TaiChi and try the ramen, finally. It's very tasty. Enjoyed it very much. The noodles taste fresh and the broth is so rich and full of flavor. Definitely would get the ramen again.
I also had to try the sushi burrito. I was a bit disappointed. I was excepting a burrito, but really it's just a giant hand-roll. This would be totally awesome if they used a tortilla instead of the nori. There was just too much of the seaweed taste so that I didn't really enjoy it. Think I'll just stick with the poke bowl.
Tried a mango boba and it was delicious. I like that they give you the option to have it sweet or not too sweet. Loved it!
Really like this place! Have tried the poke bowl ( LOVE ) it is so fresh and delicious, the taro bubble tea smoothie (I love it so much I havent been able to convince myself to try any other flavor) and also the ramen (which I didnt honestly care for much). I will stick with the poke bowl. The ramen was not bad but it didnt have hardly any veggies in it which was disappointing. It felt really empty for how much it cost. I was very satisfied with my visit where I got the poke bowl, however.
I will note that with the taro smoothie - I get it with no added sweetener. I think it is way too sweet with even the "less sweet"option. So if you are someone who heirs on the side of caution with sweet things, think about that first!
Ive been l for a legit boba place ever since I've moved to Chattanooga and this place just saved my Summer (and future years here.) The choices are a plenty, the boba is sweet and delicious, and it is so close to home. I had the watermelon milk tea with boba and my husband got the mango smoothie with mango stars in it. We kept trading cuz we enjoyed both of them so much. The macarons are also very good. We will definitely be back to try all of the other varieties. Thank you for this blessing!
Updating to say I tried a sushi burrito and OH MY GOODNESS it is so good! I got the crab and shrimp with the works and I am ready for a second trip! I am not the biggest sushi fanatic but I do like some good sushi every now and again and this was definitely some good sushi!
